Social Media Teaser Video
Social Media Teaser Video
This Social Media Teaser was released to preview NAFSA’s Up Close series which was created during NAFSA 2016 in Denver. Learn how you can maximize visibility of your Conference, Convention or Live Event. Take a look at our case study.
This Social Media Teaser features excerpts of journalist and author, Gayle Tzemach Lemmon, from the widely viewed Up Close plenary speaker interview series.
What kind of video did NAFSA want?
NAFSA asked us to create a social media teaser video to be released as soon as possible after the interview had taken place. This was a great way to create buzz surrounding not only their speaker’s interview but also her imminent plenary speech.
What purpose did this video serve?
- The purpose for this social media teaser video was threefold:
- To increase visibility of NAFSA’s annual conference
- To build brand authority as the leader in international education
- To be recognized as the torchbearer for important global issues and thought leadership in international education
- How can you use a social media teaser video?
From a video marketing strategy point of view, it’s useful to think of a teaser in two ways. The first way to use your teaser is to preview a larger piece that is coming soon. The second way is to elevate your teaser’s value is by using it to drive traffic from social media back to your company or organization’s website. Example: Natively embed your teaser video on Facebook, include a call to action with a link inviting viewers to “watch the full video at yourwebsite.com/Video’sName”
The social media teaser video works very well for any business whose prospects convert into customers on their website. If your prospects usually call or email you, they are much more likely to do so when they are on your website. Note: YouTube visitors who watch your video convert (leave YouTube and go to your website) less than 1% of the time.
